At first impression:  For a woman who views first impressions as something important, she might not always live up to her own interpretation of that. Prone to a more direct approach, Rika can sometimes be viewed as cruel and cold when in truth, such a narrative is entirely false. None have ever lost their lives under her command, a fact she pins to her chest with pride given the brutality of the Garlean conflict in Ghimlyt Dark.Almost always seen with a book (sometimes two) in her possession Rika is an educated woman who prefers to study the history of her people, and that of war itself through the ages, leaving her with a rather linear focus, one that might grate on people if they aren't prepared to host such topics. However the woman's profession as a blacksmith and her passion as an engineer also bubble to the surface when surrounded by individuals of a similar mind.

OUT OF CHARACTER

  001   Absolutely no ERP   ───   While I am not one to shirk the prospects of organic grown and romantic intent between characters, I also hold to the notion that there is a time and place for everything, including ERP. As such I do not do 'quickies' or one off sessions.

  003   Lore Compliance   ───   No one person can get the lore accurate 100% of the time. However I am only looking for and or interested in people who work within or close to the confines of the lore as it has been presented to us through MSQ or any number of short stories found on the Lodestone. Though some lore bending is okay.

  005   Consent is Key   ───   I am a huge fan for darker narratives, for grunge, and especially horror, but what I don't love is any aspect of death or permanent harm thrust upon my characters without prior conversation. It shows a disrespect to me as a person, that I simply will not tolerate so consider this a first and final warning.

  002   IC ≠ OOC   ───   I shouldn't have to put this section here, but given that so many within the community use aspects of themselves as inserts for RP it warrants notice to ensure that things are kept on track. Actions that happen in character are not reflective of my out of character views or feelings on any topic.

  004   Communicate   ───   I don't subscribe to the mentality that age is equal to maturity, but I do expect the people who I RP with to be able to communicate with me to convey an absence or even if they might be late without having something dropped on me at the last minute. Emergencies are fine too, just don't leave me in the dark for a week.

  006   Disposition   ───   This section is included specifically for Rika as she has not experienced anything even remotely close to an easy life. As such she is a distrusting person who does not gravitate towards charitable interpretations, a fact that is unfortunately doubled by her violent profession.

  001   I very often create work or tasks for myself to keep the feral raccoons also known as my ADHD, at bay and distracted. This does not inherently mean I'm busy, only that I am presently occupied as a way to keep myself from stimming at jumping puzzles until 3am. If you want to do something, please just speak up and don't just assume I don't have time to do things.

  002   I run a fairly large server and I love my community, but sometimes that doesn't mix well with my ADHD. If I haven't responded in a day or two, I swear I'm not ghosting or actively ignoring you, I just might be stupid and forgot to hit send on a message because my attention was called elsewhere and forgot to return to where it was before.

The daughter to a smith of considerable renown, Rika was born in Kugane castle where she spent many of her formative seasons learning the finer details of noble life. After a rather harrowing altercation had seen her sent away to boarding school, Rika returned as an adult but a quieter one than the child so many remember. Now a woman and one of age suitors began, but many were unnerved by the cold demeanor she housed. Rika simply ignored this issue rather than meet it head on as she had done before and petitioned for a station as a military advisor, which was swiftly denied. Spiteful and not willing to be cast from avenues she was justly owed, she went further east, to petition a Doman clan for the same station.The Lord was entertained by her and saw fit to permit her wish, if only she could prove herself. It didn’t take long for rumors of the woman’s brutality on the fields of Ghimlyt Dark to spread but more to that, none could say she hadn’t earned her station as Bugyo either. Rika’s return home wasn’t without strife, but as she’d not disgraced Hingashi during her service to Doma, she was absolved of the matter, at least in part.Now able to follow in her father’s footsteps, Rika took herself to Ishgard where she earned an understudy at Skysteel. It was here that she was given the offer to further her military career as a tactician for an adventuring guild and from those halls she met both her best friend and the man who she now calls her husband; a gentle, unassuming soul who saw only admiration for her by name and deed and a frequent source of happiness for her seemingly shy heart.
